Description
This is an extremely rare Antique 1911-1912 Calbraith Perry Rodgers Transcontinental Pilot Aviator Pennant...It measures 25 inches long and is celebrating Rodgers transcontinental flight. It says C.P. Rodgers with his photograph , a biplane rendition, and Pioneer Transcontinental Aviator ....Calbraith Perry Rodgers (January 12, 1879 – April 3, 1912) was an American aviation pioneer. He made the first transcontinental airplane flight across the U.S. from September 17, 1911, to November 5, 1911, with dozens of stops, both intentional and accidental. The feat made him a national celebrity, but he was killed in a crash a few months later at an exhibition in California. The pennant is in pretty good condition with slight fading to the color , but overall still nice… Comes with the plastic sleeve protector shown in one of the photos…Overall a very rare early aviation item...Buyer Pays Shipping
