Vintage Michigan State Prison Corrections Convict Scrip Booklet - RARE - NEW

This is a booklet of Michigan State Prison Scrip.
It is complete and has ten pages of coupons. The denominations are 1,5,10 and 25 cents.
It is in mint uncirculated  condition. It is five inches wide.
It was used by convicts to buy things like cigarettes and candy bars.
It was printed by the Allison Coupon Co in Indianapolis Indiana.
The paper scrip was eventually replaced with metal coins.
This is from the inmate store at the State House of Correction and Branch Prison in Marquette Michigan, a maximum security prison. It was built and opened in 1889 and is still in existence.
I have included a photo of the prison admin building for historical reference. The photo is not part of the auction.
I believe the is about one hundred years old.
This is about as RARE as you can get.  I don’t believe there is another source for this item anywhere.
As I have more than one of these, the one you receive may not have the serial number as shown in the photos. I didn’t want to photograph each one. They are all the same and in excellent condition.
